Musically, Rimes has created a swirling, magically beautiful score that wears its modernity proudly but without sacrificing structure and tonal allure. In fact, sadly few contemporary scores offer the melodic wealth of The Long Ride Home, in which the harvest of gorgeous tunes is bountiful indeed.
